  • Angelica 2 slices
  • 1 bunch ginseng
  • Astragalus 1 small handful
  • Kawasaki 4 slices

  • Appropriate amount of salt

  • 4 slices of ginger
  • A teaspoon of five-spice powder
  • Mirin three spoons

1. Soak ingredients in water

Soak the fungus, dried shiitake mushrooms and bamboo fungus in cold water for 1 hour respectively. Some Hericium erinaceus will have a bitter taste. Soak them in light salt water until softened (it takes about 2-3 hours) and then wash them with a squeezed sponge.

2. Prepare ingredients for roasting and frying

Cut the taro into small pieces and deep-fry until golden brown; put the chestnuts in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

3. Make the broth

Put the prepared Chinese herbal medicines into the bottom of the pot, and cut all the vegetables into appropriate sizes, then add water to the bottom of the pot, bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and then turn to low heat.

4. Add taro and seasoning

Add taro and seasonings and continue cooking.

5. Add the remaining ingredients

Add all the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes until the taro is soft and the other ingredients are soft and tender, then serve.

6. Add water at the right time

Refill water when water levels get low.
