World Environment Day is an international environmental protection event held on June 5th every year. On this day, different groups around the world will initiate voluntary environmental protection activities to encourage people to take concrete actions to improve the environment. Vegetarian markets are a very common form of environmental protection.

Awareness of World Environment Day
At the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment held in Stockholm, Sweden in June 1972, environmental issues were raised to the level of international policy discussions for the first time, and the conference passed a resolution to designate June 5 of each year as World Environment Day. In the same year, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) was established in this context to lead and coordinate global environmental protection efforts.

Combining environmental protection concepts with actions: vegetarianism
Being a vegetarian is a healthy personal choice and one of the most practical ways to reduce environmental impact and protect the earth. It is also in line with the sustainable development emphasized by World Environment Day. Therefore, promoting "green eating" and "less meat and more vegetables" during World Environment Day has gradually become a more mainstream response method around the world.

Advice for flexitarians
For people who are new to vegetarianism, flexible vegetarianism is a very practical and sustainable transitional diet.A predominantly vegetarian diet that occasionally includes meat or animal productsIn this way, we can slowly get used to being a vegetarian. Rules such as "eat vegan food 3 days a week", "eat animal protein only on weekends" or "don't order meat when eating out" can slowly help us form habits.
