
The Department of Food Science at National Ilan University visited the Lan Yang Food Yilan Factory today (11th). Led by Professor Chen Huawei, Assistant Professor Lin Huazong and Assistant Professor Tang Baoye, a total of 90 teachers and students gained an in-depth understanding of the practical operations and inspection processes of the food industry, enhancing students' understanding and application capabilities of food science and achieving a combination of theory and practice.
Lanyang Foods has been deeply involved in the Taiwanese food industry for 40 years and has advanced production equipment and strict quality control processes. During the visit, the students visited Lanyang Foods' production line, especially the detailed food inspection process, including microbial testing, bacterial count testing, and pesticide residue testing. Each step shows Lanyang Foods' adherence to food safety and strict quality control. Professor Chen Huawei said that this visit has benefited the students a lot. It not only broadened their horizons, but also enhanced their interest and enthusiasm in food science. It has enabled the students to have a deeper understanding of the application of enterprises in practice and see the future development direction of the food industry.
This visit not only enabled teachers and students to gain valuable practical experience, but also promoted the industry-university exchange between Lanyang Food and the academic community, laying a solid foundation for cultivating future food science talents. Lanyang Food's professional display and the active participation of students have jointly promoted the deep integration of food science theory and practice, injecting new impetus into the sustainable development of the food industry.
