As global climate change becomes increasingly severe, the role of enterprises in environmental protection issues becomes more important, and more and more companies are incorporating tree planting activities into their long-term development plans.2025In 2000, we chose to cooperate with the Yilan Branch of the Forestry and Conservation Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture to participate in afforestation and seedling cultivation.500This project aims to beautify the environment and bring many ecological benefits to the earth. The founder chose Yilan to cultivate saplings not only because he wanted to make some contributions to the land of his hometown Yilan, but also because the liquidambar tree can improve soil quality, reduce soil erosion and provide habitats for animals and plants. Therefore, Lan Yang Food hopes that through this afforestation project, in addition to beautifying the environment, it will also bring long-term ecological contributions to the earth.
Trees play a vital role in reducing carbon emissions, conserving water and soil, and maintaining the growth environment for wildlife. Therefore, tree planting activities starting from the seedling stage are extremely important, and their impact on the long-term future ecology cannot be ignored.
Planting trees helps the environment in three ways:
1. Trees reduce carbon emissions
Trees play a key role in the carbon cycle. Through photosynthesis, trees can absorb carbon dioxide and convert it into oxygen, effectively reducing the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and alleviating the pressure of the greenhouse effect and climate change. According to research, mature trees can absorb hundreds of kilograms of carbon dioxide each year, and a tree in a forest can achieve a more significant carbon reduction effect.
2. Conservation of water and soil
Soil erosion is a major environmental problem in many parts of the world, especially in areas with frequent agricultural and construction activities. The root system of trees can effectively fix the soil. When trees are planted on steep slopes or desertified areas, they can strengthen the structure, stabilize the soil, and reduce the risk of disasters such as floods caused by soil erosion and rainwater erosion.
3. Maintaining the growth environment of wild animals
Trees are not only beneficial to humans, but also important habitats for countless plants and animals. Many wild animals in forests rely on trees for shelter and food sources. From small insects to large mammals, trees provide them with a diverse ecological environment, but with the acceleration of urbanization and the expansion of human activities, many wild animal homes have been destroyed. Tree planting activities can help rebuild these habitats and support the recovery of biodiversity.
