The 2025 Singapore International Food Exhibition (FHA-Food & Beverage 2025) opened grandly at the bustling Singapore Expo on April 8 and will last until April 11. As Asia's largest food and beverage trade event, this year's exhibition site was crowded with exhibitors and buyers from various countries, and the scene was quite lively.
Taiwanese manufacturers shined in the Taiwan Select area. Lan Yang Foods, a leading frozen prepared food company with 40 years of experience in Taiwan's food industry, also participated in the exhibition led by its international trade manager. On the first day of the exhibition, many buyers from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore gathered in front of the company's booth. They showed great interest in the halal-certified "Delicious Jellyfish Shreds", "Fragrant Sichuan Ears", "Quinoa Edamame" and "Q Bo Mango Sago".

Halal certification is the key to expanding the Muslim market
In the Taiwan Select area of the 2025 Singapore International Food Show, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council recommends products that have Taiwanese characteristics, have a track record of export, meet hygiene and safety requirements, are taste innovators, and have obtained relevant certifications. Lan Yang Food is one of them, and through participating in the exhibition, it will bring Taiwanese cuisine to the world.
On the first day of the exhibition, Lan Yang Foods' booth attracted many distributors from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, and there was a constant stream of people trying the food. The company's ready-to-eat foods - Zhenwei shredded jellyfish, quinoa edamame, pepper and Sichuan ear mushrooms, and Qbo mango sago have all obtained halal certification. Among them, quinoa edamame and pepper and Sichuan ear mushrooms won the 2024 ITQI International Taste Evaluation Two-Star Award, while Qbo mango sago won the 2025 ITQI Three-Star Award.

Visitors stopped to taste these innovative products. A purchasing manager from a supermarket chain in Singapore said that Taiwanese food not only has a unique taste, but its halal certification also allows them to introduce it to Muslim consumers with confidence, which shows great market potential.

Unique flavors lead the trend
In addition to displaying its best-selling products, Lan Yang Foods also launched two new products, including Greek Vinegar Light Lentils and Mexican Lemon Quinoa Edamame, which attracted many international buyers to taste. General Manager He Minge said that Greek Vinegar Light Lentils are based on dense and sweet chickpeas, with red and green lentils, red peppers and purple onions, with a rich taste. The ingredients are then coated with extra virgin olive oil and seasoned with wine vinegar and lemon juice to present a Mediterranean flavor. She said that Mexican Lemon Quinoa Edamame combines Q-elastic quinoa, dense edamame and slightly spicy Mexican peppers, with diced red and yellow peppers and purple onions, and is seasoned with lemon juice to create a unique exotic flavor. It can be eaten as long as it is heated, which is very convenient for busy modern people.
Innovative packaging leads market trends
At this year's exhibition, Lan Yang Food's innovative packaging design also attracted much attention. The newly launched "Q Bo Mango Mango Sago" is specially designed with a curved hand-held shape as the packaging design, allowing consumers to drink directly after unpacking and thawing, without the need for additional containers, which is particularly suitable for the needs of consumers in modern fast-paced life. An importer from Malaysia at the scene praised this packaging design and said that this innovative design is very practical for consumers.

Lan Yang Food Chairman Lu Gentian said that obtaining halal certification is an important strategy for the company to enter the Southeast Asian market. The influence of the Singapore International Food Exhibition extends throughout Southeast Asia. For Taiwanese food companies, this is not only a stage to showcase innovative products, but also an important base for entering the Southeast Asian market. In the future, the company will launch more halal-certified products to make Taiwanese cuisine famous internationally.
